The National Youth Empowerment Fund is one of the measures that the government has put in place to promote empowerment and employment creation for the youth. It is a flagship program of Cluster 6 of the Mid-Term National Development Plan 2019 to 2023, which is “Youth Employment, Sports and Migration”.

The sole purpose of the National Youth Empowerment Fund is to promote youth entrepreneurship, employment and empowerment. The Fund will comprise two separate windows: the access to financial services window; and the business development services window.

TheNational Youth Empowerment Fund will comprise contributions from the national treasury, statutory bodies, development partners, international organizations, non-state actors, Trusts, societies and individuals.
